installing a used ram card?

ok so was wondering if i could take the ram card out of a HP ME, and install it into my dell dimension 4600?

does the type of ram match the dell? plus just to warn you, i wouldn't depend on that ram.

1: Stick not card.
2: Maybe, see if it fits.
3: Dells really fuck up if you don't put the cases on them right; ie: not boot.

Well, I don't know what u mean by thanks. If the card fits, then you could do it. However, RAM isn't that expensive, and you might save yourself a lot of trouble in the long run by getting a new one. But if you're on a tight budget like me, you might have to make do.

make sure it's compatible with the motherboard in the dell.
